![]() ![]() The state decided to use a polycarbonate based credential for its advanced security features because it allows the images and the text to be laser engraved into the card body, allowing for the most secure credentials. One of Colorado’s main design requirements for the new credential is that it included security features that allow for the seamless authentication of drivers without having to use special equipment. “The protection of our citizens` identities is our utmost concern and with MIDS we have taken great strides in improving the security of the credentials we issue.” ![]() “MIDS` technology helped improve our systematic procedures making the workflow process easier for our operators,” said David Lindsay, driver’s license operations director at the Colorado DMV. MIDS experts worked with the State of Colorado and its nearly 60 state and county offices to facilitate the transition through a series of operational and educational training sessions for DMV operators and local law enforcement. ![]() In addition, MIDS is providing Colorado with its central issuance and personalization solution of highly secure polycarbonate driver licenses, instruction permits, and identification cards. ![]()
